Safaricom is committed to the highest standards of conduct and business ethics in
supporting the fundamental principles of sound corporate governance. It is the company’s
fundamental policy that all its employees and business partners observe and comply with the laws and regulations
applicable to its business and that they act with high standards of business integrity.
We strive to prevent any situation that may compromise these principles in our dealings
with customers, suppliers, dealers and other business associates. In the interest
of the company, Safaricom therefore expects all employees and business partners to disclose information
in respect of workplace related criminal or other irregular behaviour.
Safaricom has therefore established an Ethics Hotline. The service is independently
provided and managed by Deloitte South Africa and provides employees and business partners with an avenue
to report irregularities that they become aware of. Safaricom supports the disclosure
of information on irregularities that may prejudice the company, its management,
employees, service providers, dealers, agents, shareholders and business interests
in any manner whatsoever.
